Carla Pellegrini, Executive Director - Food Stash Foundation
Carla Pellegrini is the Executive Director of Food Stash Foundation, a nonprofit in Vancouver that prevents food waste and helps people get food with dignity.
She has worked in nonprofits for 15 years and joined Food Stash 3.5 years ago. Since then, the organization has saved over 130,000 pounds of food every month, sharing most of it with community groups and families. They also rescued 1.7 million pounds of food in 2024 alone.
Food Stash runs three main programs: food deliveries to nonprofits, home grocery deliveries, and a public market. Carla enjoys working with others to reduce food waste and help people in need.
