Kevin Forrester Coleman, Executive Director - Bellingham SeaFeast
Kevin Coleman is the Executive Director of Bellingham SeaFeast, a nonprofit that celebrates maritime culture in Whatcom County, Washington.
Since it started in 2016, the organization has grown into a big annual festival, expecting 15,000 visitors for its 9th year.
Kevin, a former teacher, now runs programs that teach ocean conservation and seafood cooking. His “Keep It Simple Seafood” program helps people feel more comfortable cooking fish and other seafood.
The nonprofit has added fun monthly events like trivia nights and community net-building projects with Kevin’s guidance.
Kevin believes in spreading positivity and building strong partnerships. His advice to other nonprofit leaders? “Don’t give up. Focus on your strengths, live your mission, and be a ripple of positivity.”
