Racheal Inegbedion, Founding Executive Director - Initiative for National Growth Africa

Episode 40

Racheal Inegbedion started Special Needs Initiative for Growth, a nonprofit in Nigeria that helps people with disabilities.

Since 2017, the group has focused on supporting those with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, vision loss, and autism.

Racheal was inspired to take action after seeing unfair treatment in her community.

The nonprofit teaches tech and job skills to people with disabilities. It also helps low-income moms of kids with cerebral palsy by giving them business training and grants.
With Racheal’s help, they made two films about job struggles for people with disabilities and helped push for a new disability rights law in Nigeria in 2023.

She is part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship and works with groups across Africa to help even more people.
