Wendy Taylor, Executive Director - West Place Animal Sanctuary

Episode 33

Wendy Taylor is the founder and director of West Place Animal Sanctuary, a nonprofit that rescues and cares for farm animals. She started it in 2007 after a personal loss.

Before this, Wendy was a lawyer, but she left her career to follow her passion for helping animals. Over the years, West Place has grown a lot.

Now, the sanctuary also runs education programs, teaching nearly 70 students in 2024, with plans to expand in 2025. Wendy is also part of Rhode Island’s animal welfare council.

West Place is getting ready for a big expansion, hoping to buy more land to help even more animals and continue their work in education and conservation.
